The Labyrinth of the Spirits        (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #4) By  Carlos Ruiz Zafón My Rating: 5 Genre: Historical Fiction, Mystery Finished on: 22nd Jun, 2019 It was such a good journey to read The Cemetery of Forgotten Books series. I'll put the review of all four books in one. When I first read The Shadow of the Wind, me being the semi gothic person loved the dark and gloomy description of everything. The entire world of this story was dark. And Sad. Rainy. Depressing. Not forgetting the way it is written, the author has got this ability of making us feel everything in depth. I regret not focusing on few characters much, because after finishing the 4th book, I almost had to reread the entire series again (in brief) just so I could relive the moments of those characters again which were mentioned in the 4th book. I should have known the character of Julian Carax would be significant throughout. And of David Martin! The Angel's Game is one boo...

The Prisoner of Heaven (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #3) By  Carlos Ruiz Zafón ,   Lucia Graves My Rating: 3 Genre: Mystery, Historical Fiction, Fantasy Finished on: Sep 7th, 2018 Okay this book got me in a state of profound confusion. The instances which happened in the previous book were changed a bit in this one, and I'm not sure what really happened? But let's wait, maybe the final book will answer all my questions. Apart from that, the book took abrupt changes but I won't complain since the story was divided into 5 parts for a reason. The introduction of the mysterious person in the beginning (Prisoner Salgado) which led to Fermin's story before he met Daniel. And the story told us how he met David Martin there, and also the reason behind the death of Isabella (Oh, I so cannot wait to read the final book. I want to see the end of Maurico Valls). And the reference of the book The Count of Monte Cristo (Using which they could plan Fermin's escape from the pr...

The Angel's Game            (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #2) By   Carlos Ruiz Zafón ,   Lucia Graves My Rating: 4 Genre: Historical Fiction, Mystery, Fantasy Finished on: 22nd Aug, 2018 I really underestimated this book. Took a good 40 days to finish this, reading every page taking my own sweet time, only to realise in the end I should have paid attention to the first half of the book. The ending was fast paced. There was so much to catch up on. The mysterious character Andreas Corelli pays a huge sum to David Martin, the protagonist, for writing a piece which no one should forget. And he agrees because he wanted to  live  . But there were many things which didn't add up. (Or maybe my mind forgot in those 40 days I took to finish this). How on earth did his illness get cured? And what exactly happened to Christina which lead to her death? The madness which some of the characters faced was beyond me. I had respected inspec...
