Another great mystery-thriller read. The basic plot seemed interesting enough. Something is fishy about the hospital where most of the patients are going into coma and none in the hospital is giving two hoots about it? I mean, how? And why?
Then from reading I came to know the perspective of each person regarding this. The plot made it a bit difficult for me to decide who really is the mastermind behind it.
Nobody was caring. And both the possibilities seemed valid. One being they could really be the culprit (for not caring and wanting Susan to give up her research) and the other being they are.. Doctors. Too busy to even observe and make sense out of what's going on around them.
Being a non medical student, some of the terms used in the book were really unintelligible for me, but this at least made me sit inside a doctor's head and have an idea how their life is/thoughts are :P
Coming to writing. It was amazingly written. Susan's escapades from getting the things which she wants from unobtainable places to escaping amazingly and briskly from a dangerous hitman, honestly, I couldn't put down my book. If I put myself in her shoes, I would honestly have given up long ago.
Her determination from assuming she stumbled upon an unknown disease to realising what's really being done with random innocent humans, she didn't budge at all.
Lastly, the author's note in the end, making us realise the need of organs from people which we can obtain from (by means which are legally and morally right, ofc) was a final touch for the end of the book.
A good read.
