This book. I have no feelings to write about any kind of review for it.
So this was the last book Of TID series.
I knew am gonna anyway break down as it will be the last book of the series.
But, the fact what Cassandra did to it, I can never forgive her.

She, as an excellent author filled all the holes which needed to be filled in this book.
I had many doubts about what may happen to each character and what may happen to so and so incident.
Some were scenes such I had no clue what may happen next. It was just unpredictable.
First for the fact, What may happen to poor James Carstairs?
He was dying, already weak from his so-called disease.
And Will, Will, Will. If somebody has to learn patience and tolerance from anybody, that anybody has to be him.
I see why Magnus held such pity and sympathy for him. Even after hundred and thirty years, he remembered him.
We know why from Clockwork Prince.
Annnndd, I hated Tessa from the beginning. I just don't know why, but I did. Not hate, exactly.. but despising would fit.

Everything was going perfect. I started liking this book more than Clockwork Angel and Prince.. As she was including abundance of Action too! Until.. the death Of James i.e Jem.

I had so much pity for him. He didn't deserve to die such an abrupt death. And when he couldn't even do anything about it. Who could, its death after all!
I've always loved the relation of Parabatai in this series. Even in TMI <3
I wish in reality too we had such terms, taking an oath to protect and be with its best friend forever. And when Jem died, I only prayed Will doesn't describe his feelings over it. But, Cassandra never listens to me! She described how wrecked Will had become and so on.

In the end, Mortmain died. I liked the concept of Tessa turning to Ithuriel. So ironic that both the villains, Valentine and Mortmain die by Angels' hand.
We need to know now how Sebastian death would be like.
And the main Cliffhanger, Jem Carstairs is alive. Alive and Immortal. Alive and Immortal and a Silent brother. Alive and Immortal and Silent brother, Brother Zachariah. Like, what?
Brother Zachariah who helped Clary and Jace in COFA and COLS?
Brother Zachariah who desperately wanted to save the last Herondale bloodline in COLS, who says Clary he was a shadowhunter once and knows the feeling of humanity, knows the feeling of loving someone, knows the feeling of losing someone you love. It all made sense after reading Clockwork Princess! Utter sense!
I felt soo pity for James, instantly started crying for him. The fact he sounded so wistful in COLS, was driving me crazy. Many questions arised. How did he survive without Tessa and Will about like 130 years alone?!
The question was answered soon enough by the great author, Cassandra Clare.

In the ebook which I was reading, after Mortmain's death they were like more 70 pages for me to turn.
I instantly felt that I won't like the story which goes further.
However, for a moment of time I was wrong.
Yes, the farewell of Jem to others and Magnus to Will was painful.
I regret not catching three scenes which were more important for me to predict the ending.
1) Most important, Magnus said Tessa was immortal, but can be killed.
2) When departing from Tessa, Jem promises to visit her once in a year at the Blackfriar Bridge where they have first talked to each other.
I was like once in a year is so less.. Tessa can hardly meet him 50-60 times iff possible all her life. I didn't catch the first point, you see. -_-
3) Magnus bid adieu to Will, but not Tessa. As he said he is gonna meet her soon, sometime, somewhere, anyway. For THIS too I ignored the first point -_-
So these two farewells were quite touching but then everything was settled.
Those who loved were getting married. They were celebrating. Families were uniting. Bonds were getting stronger. Enemies were becoming friends. Friends were becoming best friends. Everything was just, perfect, perfect, perfect.
And, the last chapter ends by Tessa laughing about Will's joke, Perfect.
Until..
The Epilogue Starts..
London, Blackfriar Bridge, 2008
2008. 2008. 2008.
I remember the series starting with 1878. Now 2008. 130 years later.
130 years later? Oh YES,Tessa was IMMORTAL. And I forgot to catch that.
Then the horror sinks, Most of the character were probably dead by now, they were mortal after all.
And then Tessa narrates it all. How Will died on June 1937, how she abandoned her children and grand children just so she can't see them die one day too. She stays with Magnus for a time, trying to forget Will.
Yet, she meets Jem every year on that bridge.
She was without Will for like 71 years. I was wondering how she survived.
She somehow did.

And now in the end, Jem arrives.. being human, mortal, he was no Brother Zachariah anymore.
MAny questions arised. He was a brother until COLS, and no he is mortal once again. This means this scene is after the war with Sebastian? Am sure it is. Jem says there was a great shadowhunters loss in the war. And now I didn't want to think about COHF. Didn't want to know about Magnus or anybody.
And thankfully he doesn't even mention. So we know just one thing.. We win the war over Sebastian in COHF.
Yet, still.. thinking about the death of the characters.. specially Will's left a hollow feeling within me.
I didnt know what to do.
Jem was mortal, no emotionless brother now. Yet, Will was dead. Horrible, horrible, horrible feeling.
I hated Cassandra so much that time. I never know now whether I'll be able to pic up TID series again with a smile anymore or not.
Cassandra snatched that away from me.
The last page, of the series was.. I don't know.
The story began with Jem and Tessa at the Blackfriar bridge. And it ended with both of them at Blackfriar bridge.
The river was shining silver in moon's light back at 1878 then. It was shining gold in Sun's sunlight now.

That, is the effect Cassandra have in her books.
We don't know whether to feel happy, contended, peace.. or Sad, broken, lost.
I so fear about the upcoming final book of TMI series, City Of Heavenly Fire.
P.S- I know now even after the war with Seb, Jem and Tessa are alive.. *dont think about Will, just don't* but, if Cassie kills Magnus-I have a bad feeling she will- I wont touch TMI series again.
